These guidelines outline the behaviors and content that are welcome on our platform, as well as those that are not. By using Mate, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us maintain a positive community for everyone.
Treat Everyone with Respect
Treat others as you would like to be treated. Be kind, considerate, and respectful in all interactions. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying of any kind is not tolerated.
This includes:
- No offensive or derogatory language based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, medical condition, or physical appearance
- No threats, intimidation, or encouragement of violence against any person or group
- No sexual harassment, unwanted sexual advances, or sexually explicit content
- No bullying, stalking, or targeted harassment of other users
Content Policies
The following content is not allowed on Mate:
Illegal Content
Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities
Harmful Content
Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities
Explicit Content
Sexually explicit or pornographic content
Violent Content
Graphic violence, gore, or content that glorifies violence
Spam & Scams
Spam, scams, or misleading content designed to deceive users
Intellectual Property Violations
Content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
Enforcement
We take violations of our Community Guidelines seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Warning: For minor first-time violations, we may issue a warning and provide guidance on our guidelines.
- Content Removal: We may remove content that violates our guidelines.
- Temporary Suspension: For repeated or more serious violations, we may temporarily suspend your account.
- Permanent Ban: For severe violations or a pattern of repeated violations, we may permanently ban your account from the platform.
- Legal Action: In cases involving illegal activity, we may report the matter to appropriate legal authorities.
